Can Poetry Change Anything?

Common sense is not an open book test.

    In "A Defence of Poetry" Percy Bysshe Shelley wrote:  "Poets are the unacknowledged legislators of the world."

    So, can poetry have an impact on the world?

    No.

    Why not?

    Because no one reads it.
